About Me

Thalia was born in Nuevo Progreso Tamaulipas Mexico. She first developed a passion for photography while in high school. She currently resides in Stillwater, Oklahoma and previously lived in Provo, Utah. She is happily married to William Daw who supports her with her photography goals and has two amazing little girls. The first time Thalia had a desire for photography was a couple of years ago a few days before Christmas of 2010. She was in her family's living room admiring some Christmas decorations and how pretty they looked. She took a photo of some of the ornaments and posted these ordinary pictures without knowing what effect it would have online. She received a lot more attention than expected. For her, it was a big step toward finding her passion. She knew if she was to pursue this in her future she would have to devote a lot of time and focus while staying on top of homework and helping around the house. Soon she was working her first job to save up enough money to be able to afford her first camera. As she spent time taking pictures and editing them on the computer it started as a small hobby but soon turned into friends neighbors and relatives asking her to take their pictures. As time went on she took a break for two years to serve for her church in The Salt Lake City West Mission, where she could also share her talent. When she got back from devoting her time to her church she started attending BYU in Provo Utah. She picked up her camera and started it again she became an entrepreneur setting her own goals and finding her own work. She absolutely enjoys the time she spends editing photos and the time spent with the new friends she makes. She believes other than using the right equipment- what makes the best photos are catching the expressions in the moment to keep the exciting day in the details of the photo. Every time you look at those photos you can remember those feelings on that special day!
